Dispute Board Chambers promotes the use of dispute boards for projects around the world. Our Members are highly qualified and experienced dispute board professionals with a reputation for excellence in their field and an established track record in dispute avoidance and resolution. They are available for direct access consultation, nomination and appointment.
Collectively referred to as DBs, this includes Dispute Review Boards (DRBs) Dispute Adjudication Boards (DABs) Dispute Avoidance and Adjudication Boards (DAABs) Dispute Review Advisors (DRAs). Members could be appointed as a sole DB or as part of panel of three or more. Frequently our Members are selected to chair or lead a multi-member DB.
Members are appointed on DBs worldwide for construction and infrastructure projects, including:
- Energy old and new, including, wind farms, of shore renewable projects, wave and tidal, solar, hydro, waste to energy, nuclear, gas and coal as well as grid, power distribution and interconnectors
- Airports, roads, bridges, tunnelling, rail, metro and stations
- Marine, coastal engineering and ports
- Dams and reservoirs, river & flood control, irrigation and land reclamation
- Water supply and environmental, sewerage treatment
- Oil & gas, pipelines, LNG, process engineering, pharmaceuticals
- Construction projects for institutional, health, hospitals, educational, commercial and retail, mixed use, industrial, sports stadium, leisure and theme parks. Building services, including lighting, communications, heating, ventilation and air conditioning
- Data centres, cabling, technical system and software development and implementation
- Defence and military projects on land, sea, air and cyber space.
Our Members work with the full range of FIDIC standard form contracts, often including particular or special conditions and amendments, as well as EPC, EPCM, NEC, and framework contracts. They have worked on innovative projects and contractual arrangements such as the 5-member Panel of Adjudicators (POA) at CERN, the panel at ITER and the separate mediation and adjudication panels for the UK’s Olympic Village. Our Members include some of the most well know and experienced FIDIC trainers and assessors.
